The assault resulted in the temporary closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
